A Whole New Experience!

This past week, I had the pleasure of joining about 20 photographers at their annual retreat in the Berkshires. I never went to summer camp as a kid, so I was choosing to see this as my first "official summer camp experience!" Also I had never been to the Berkshires before so that was new! ALSO this was the first trip I have taken with a new group of people since I moved here, so that in itself was exciting, and slightly intimidating.

I mean lets face it, trying new things CAN be scary!
Even at a gorgeous lake!

However I find sometimes,
you have to just rise to the occasion.

And force yourself to just
DIVE RIGHT IN!

After all, you never know what you'll find on your path.

Usually it's the path less taken that's full of
all the good stuff.

Right?

lucky for me, I landed myself

with a truly beautiful,

welcoming, creative group of people.

Who made me feel like I fit in just fine.

That helped me to find my center

and reflect

on all the new beautiful things that have
come into my life.
For that you know I have to say
THANKS YOU GUYS!
I truly enjoyed every minute!
Even the scary movie!;)

You are just too.darn.cute. =) I cannot emphasize enough how much fun I had on our wild backwoods adventure. We now know northern Connecticut and southern Mass pretty well, huh? LOL... thanks heavens for my Google Maps w/ GPS! =)

All of your photos are GORGEOUS! I particularly love the butterfly "landing." It was really a wonderful retreat... very inspiring in so many ways.

XOXO - Julia

Nice job writing this with corresponding photos! So cool! I had a great time kayaking with you and just spending that time in the middle of the lake talking. Fun times! Let's get together again soon.
