What a Peach

This past weekend we attended a summer BBQ at a friends house. Of course, I waited until the last minute to decide what I wanted to bring to the BBQ.
Then, I thought of fruit salad.
After all, it's summer the season of fruit, PERFECT!
So I stopped by Lyman Orchards where right now they have

and

Because I waited until the last minute I didn't pick my own fruit this time.
Once again I went in their store and purchased already picked fruit for my fruit salad.

The highlight of my salad was definitely the peaches,
After all they're orange, the color of happiness.

and they remind me of one of my
favorite childhood stories.
James and the Giant Peach.

I thought this one kinda looked like a heart, or, something....

Peaches are definitely Sawyer's new favorite fruit.
They were also his dad's favorite fruit when he was a child.

He said to me " MOM, these are SOOOOO good!!!"

He ate three in a row for lunch, and he LOVES them.

Here is my recipe for the salad I made:

Aimee's
I really love your peaches
Want to shake your tree...
Summer Fruit Salad

You will need:
Peaches, Cherries, Grapes (I prefer seedless red), and Blueberries.
Wash, cut, chill and serve!

It's Peachy and Delicious!!!

Happiness in a Bottle

Did you know you they bottled happiness and sell at a store near you?

REALLY, it's true, take a look

Also, on behalf of myself and parents everywhere that have discovered this contraption

I would like to thank the person who invented it.

THE BUBBLE MAKER

Check out the size of these bubbles!

Do you know how impossible it would be for parents to blow bubbles this big!

He played for an hour and a half!!!

Yes, a hour and a half!
Again Thank You for inventing this!
Then we ran out of bubbles, not to worry they sell more!

A Castle in the Sand

Last weekend we headed back over to the ocean state.

And found a new favorite beach! :) :) :)

Sawyer claimed a good spot

and began to build his castle.

He worked really hard constructing his castle,

he even added windows!

and when he finished, he had a castle worthy of a king!

Even the locals came by to take a look!

It was such a nice castle we left it for all to enjoy!

After the beach we found a nice place to rinse off all that sand,

and catch the sunset.

My Little Shark

We hit a MAJOR MILESTONE
in the world of Sawyer Bean today!
For weeks he has been working to swim like a 'Big Boy' and today, after a lot of practice and much determination, he did it!

HE LEARNED TO SWIM UNDERWATER!!!!
ALONE no floaties or parents!
(well no parents hanging on anyway, his dad was really close.)

For the very first time!
Alone underwater swimming!!!
HE'S TWO!

I am so impressed I told him
" Sawyer, you're my little fish!"

He said to me
" No mom, I'm a shark, not a fish, I'm a shark"
"OH A SHARK!"
I should have known! What was I thinking, fish!?!

Want to see him do it again?

O.K.

Yep, he's a natural!

My little shark.

Amazing!

Sometimes sharks have to take a break.

and after all that swimming, even sharks enjoy a little sun!

It was nice knowing you, Angel fish!
